5 Top Gifts For Her This Holiday Season

Calling all husbands, boyfriends, best gal pals, sisters, moms, and friends! Let me begin by saying, Giving Gifts is my love language. That’s where it’s at for me. I LOVE to shop for my loved ones and it’s pretty easy for me to look at someone, speak to them a while, and think, “I know EXACTLY what you need!”. And, on the flip side- if you get me a gift, I will always think of you fondly. It’s just how us gift givers are wired. Giving gifts to us means that you are intentionally thinking of us and have taken the time to pick something special out.

This makes my husband incredibly nervous and edgy because he doesn’t usually have the slightest idea what to get me, and so, just as I help him (by telling him exactly what to get), I’m here to help you. The holidays are approaching quickly, and you will want to have that perfect something all wrapped up with a pretty bow for your loved one to open on Christmas morning! I’ve listed 5 top gifts for her below, and hopefully this will give you a few ideas of where to begin.

1. Gift Sets Under $20

Let’s talk gift sets. These are for the budget-conscious shopper. Having a full list of loved ones to buy for during the holiday season might leave you in the negative if you aren’t careful, and it’s easy to get carried away when you really want to have something for everyone.

There are TONS of gift sets available for under twenty dollars online. Most of the time you can get a wonderful array of items for a great deal. In the gift set I’ve listed above, all the items even come in a nifty reusable bag..and voila! You don’t even have to break out the wrapping paper! Pretty good deal, if you ask me.

You can search for anything from beauty products to hygiene, to jewelry, to sweets and treats, to kitchen gadgets. I also highly recommend gift baskets. If you aren’t the basket-maker type, purchase one that is already made. A gift basket is an excellent gift for a family member or the host of a party. A well put together basket shows that you were thinking of the receiver, and that you know a thing or two about them.

As far as items to include in a gift set or basket, if you are putting it together yourself, consider what you know about the receiver. Throw in a set of headphones and an insulated water bottle for the fitness enthusiast, or a cookbook and some kitchen utensils for the chef in the family. For that someone special, you could assemble a date themed gift basket, complete with wine, a couple of DVD’s, popcorn, candy, and warm blanket. The possibilities are endless!

2. Personalized Jewelry

So, last year on Mother’s Day, my husband didn’t give me any inkling at all as to what my gift would be. He usually has a bit of a hard time if I don’t tell him exactly what to get, and I didn’t. When he pulled from his pocket a necklace, I was very surprised. It was a locket, and it had gemstones in it that represented the birthstones of both of my children and of my mother who had passed away the year before.

I sat right there on the park bench and cried my eyes out. I’m serious guys, I was so touched. It was the most thoughtful gift anyone had ever given me.

If you’re looking to make an impression, this will probably do it. Personalized jewelry comes in many forms. Stamped rings with childrens’ names engraved on them, necklaces with birthstones, names, birth dates, remembrances, etc. There are also much more personal items available, such as necklaces that can contain the ashes of a loved one. I’ve got one of those too.

The price can vary, depending on the item and company, but there are usually many options, so you can do it on almost any budget.

A personalized gift for a very special woman is something that she will hold dear for years to come.

3. Bath Bombs

Call me crazy, but these little things are ALL THE RAGE right now. This is a great gift for a young girl, or woman who you are not all too acquainted with, but want to gift them with something unique. Basically, if she takes baths, she likes bath bombs. They come in a million different colors and fragrances, and you can purchase them individually or in a bundle.

I recommend buying them at least three at a time, because even though some are the size of baseballs, they only last for one bath.

Bath bombs work by dissolving in warm bath water, and they make the water smell delicious. They are the ultimate form of unwinding and decompressing after a long day, so if you decide to gift someone with bath bombs, consider pairing them with a candle that has eucalyptus, lavender, or peppermint in it and…congratulations! You’ve given the gift of relaxation all wrapped up in a pretty bow.

4. Gourmet Chocolates, Candies, or Cookies

The beautiful thing about this option, is that you can order these little morsels online, and have them sent directly to the gift receiver’s door. Now who in the world wouldn’t want to open their door to a box of deliciousness?!

Another plus, these could be an act of kindness for a relative that lives out of state and won’t be able to make it to any family get togethers. Never underestimate a small act of kindness!

To add to this, you basically do no work. You just order online, and they will be made to order and delivered in beautiful packaging to the requested address. If you’re part of the procrastinator’s club, this is a great option for you. Just a few clicks, and your finished. In fact, I’m considering having a box sent to myself just as soon as I finish this article….

5. Essential Oil Diffuser

Diffusers have become a hot commodity in the last year or so. I am a big advocate of essential oils, so of course I highly recommend this gift. Much like an air humidifier, the user pours water into the bottom part of the diffuser, and then drops a few drops of their chosen essential oil into the top, and within a few seconds, the room will be filled with the scent of the oil.

Keep in mind, oil diffusing is not only pleasing to the olfactories, it also has whole body benefits. Essential oils offer a sense of relaxation, alertness, calm, grounding, ease, etc, depending on the oil.

This would be a great gift for the woman in your life who is into health, fitness, natural remedies/healing, organic lifestyle. You can sometimes find great deals on diffuser/oil bundles. This means that an introductory oil set will be included with the diffuser, which is awesome, because then the receiver would have everything they need to simply plug the diffuser in and get started.

Merry Christmas, Ya’ll!

Well, I hope that this was helpful to a few of you who struggle every year with what to purchase for the special women in your lives! This may at least send you in the right direction! Through all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, lets always remember that, ultimately, it’s our Savior’s birthday, and that, friends, is what the season is all about.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a blessed beautiful day, and a Merry Christmas!

With love,
